I drew on the wrong paper

I drew on the wrong paper

I drew a dandelion and sunset, but I used the wrong paper. It turned out horrible. I normally use Strathmore Bristol Vellum Surface 500 Series Paper.

I couldn’t find the paper and assumed I ran out because I do struggle with memory issues, so it wasn’t too far fetched to me. I had the “plate surface” version of paper in sight that I use when I want to draw with my graphite pencils. Half way through my drawing, I realized how much I hated plate surface paper with colored pencils. It was very hard to blend the colors together and you can still see a lot of the pencil strokes because of it. I was on TikTok Live and started to cry because my drawing was ruined and I had worked really hard on it trying to salvage it. I tried everything I could but it still wasn’t good enough for me to be proud of. After I finished, my vellum surface paper appeared and I was very disappointed. Now I plan on redrawing this on my vellum surface paper so that I can be happy with it.
